Andre Miller, Timberwolves Agree on Buyout: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction

Point guard Andre Miller will be moving on to his ninth NBA team after the Timberwolves waived him on Thursday, per the team's official announcement.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier in the day that Miller and the Timberwolves were nearing a buyout. Bleacher Report's Sean Highkin made light of the nickname bestowed upon the 39-year-old by Zach Lowe of ESPN.com:



The move makes sense for both parties. Miller hasn't played much for Minnesota this year, making him all the more expendable, and at this stage of his career, one cannot blame him for wanting to join a team a little closer to the playoff picture.

The Cauldron's Nate Duncan believes Miller would fit in well with either the Miami Heat or Chicago Bulls. Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel added the Heat have been linked with Miller in the past, too.

The Associated Press' Jon Krawczynski argued that the T-Wolves would be better off using his roster spot to address a different area of the floor, too:
