The 2009-2010 NBA Rookies weren't regarded as a particularly talented group. Just like every draft it had surprises and disappointments. Rubio never showed. Jennings hot start faded, but his European adventure was technically a success. Holiday's draft-day drop was not warranted. Sacramento made the right move drafting Evans. What stood out about the draft is that there was not one player in particular that stood out as a 'cornerstone' for a team. Even Blake Griffin wasn't a sure thing to translate to the league. Evans was likely the most highly touted prospect coming in to the draft. He has been in the national spotlight since high-school. His game has translated to the league as most thought. Tyreke might not be a normal point-guard, but he is a physical guard that can create around the basket. Some guys that have bounced back from slow starts are Hasheem Thabeet, Jordan Hill, Jrue Holiday, Toney Douglas, and Darren Collison. Chris Paul's injury opened major minutes for Collison who enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign. Increased minutes due to improved play or change of scenery helped the other few.
