Utah Jazz shooting guard Alec Burks underwent surgery on his left knee and ankle Tuesday in order to clear out lingering debris.

Burks Expected Back for Camp After Cleanup

The team's official site reported the procedures were successful. It also noted Burks should make a full recovery before the start of next season's training camp.
The 24-year-old guard is coming off his second straight injury-plagued campaign. He missed more than three months of action after undergoing surgery for a fractured left fibula in December. His 2014-15 campaign was also cut short because of a shoulder injury.
In turn, he's appeared in just 58 games over the past two seasons for Utah. It's prevented him from making the necessary progress after the 2011 first-round selection enjoyed a breakout 2013-14 season, averaging 14 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists across 78 contests.
Burks stated in April that he has no plans to change his approach despite the recent health setbacks, per Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.
