Magic Could Be In Free Agency Discussion Friday, Feb. 19 An unrestricted free agent at season's end, Horford will garner interest from the Orlando Magic, sources told the Sporting News' Sean Deveney on Friday.   

Per Deveney, that interest "would be mutual." Horford attended college at the University of Florida and won a pair of national championships in 2006 and 2007. The Magic play just 90 minutes away from the school in Gainesville. 

Horford has been an extremely steady big man for Atlanta and was elected to his fourth All-Star Game in 2016. Through 55 games, he's averaging 15.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game on a Hawks team that is ranked fourth in the Eastern Conference. 

Yet his name continually popped up in trade-deadline talks with teams.
