A Closer Look at Eric Bledsoe’s Rise to NBA Success

Eric Bledsoe is headed to Phoenix—as reported by Sam Amick of USA Today. 

With point guards Goran Dragic and Kendall Marshall already on the roster, it currently stands as a strange fit for Bledsoe. He goes from being a backup with the Los Angeles Clippers to potentially remaining in that role with another team?

I thought that Bledsoe would land in a situation where he would instantly become a starter, whether he was ready or not. 

But perhaps the Suns have another trade or two in the making. So I'll reserve my opinion until then. 

Personally, I wanted to see Bledsoe traded to a team like the Sacramento Kings.

By bringing in Eric Bledsoe, the Kings would have gained someone that could transition Patrick Patterson into a solid NBA career and finally turn Cousins into an NBA All-Star. It also helps that Bledsoe has previously played with both players.

A core of Bledsoe, Cousins, Patterson and Ben McLemore is one to build around for the near future. 

Still, congrats are in order for the fast-rising young point guard. He now has a long-awaited opportunity to prove himself in the NBA.& ...
