76ers Fans Go Wild When Team Honors Allen Iverson on the Court vs. Knicks

Philadelphia 76ers fans need Allen Iverson right now.

Beloved former general manager Sam Hinkie is no longer with the team. Nerlens Noel is dealing with a lawsuit, according to TMZ Sports. The team narrowly avoided an all-time bad record.

And yet, The Answer made Philly supporters smile Friday night against the New York Knicks.

This was the first time the Sixers honored A.I. since he was elected to the Hall of Fame, and it seemed to provide a much-needed catharsis for all in attendance.

Iverson talked about his special bond with Philly before the opening tip:

They love me because I gave everything I had. And they honor that. I love them for what they gave me—the love and the support that they gave me. There will never be nothing like the relationship that I have with the fans in Philadelphia.
