2013 Dallas Mavericks Roster: Updated List of Players Until the Season Begins

The 2013 Dallas Mavericks roster is under construction, as free agents can officially sign on July 10. The Mavericks' search for putting together a team around All-Star forward Dirk Nowitzki first began with the NBA draft on June 27.

In the first round of the draft, the Mavericks selected Shane Larkin, point guard from the University of Miami. For more on Larkin, click here.

In the second round, Dallas chose Ricky Ledo, shooting guard from Providence College. For more on Ledo, click here.

The first day NBA teams were allowed to talk to free agents was July 1, and the Mavs didn't waste any time. They got a verbal commitment from Israeli point guard Gal Mekel. For more on Mekel, click here.

On July 2, the Mavericks met with All-Star center Dwight Howard. The Mavs decided to wait to hear back from Howard before pursuing other free agents. On July 5, the Mavericks were informed that Howard would not be signing with them.

Owner Mark Cuban emailed local Dallas media about Howard's plans not to sign with the team and then tweeted about going forward with the free-agency period.
