With Week One of the playoffs officially in the books, we've had the opportunity to start separating the contenders from the pretenders. In the East, all four of the higher-seeded teams have managed to proceed along without any major hiccups (excluding the Cavs' Game Three against Chicago), and they all hold two-game advantages over their opponents. The West, on the other hand, is the war zone we expected it to be—after all, the No. 1 seed Lakers and No. 8 seed Thunder were only separated by seven wins this season. The Lakers-Thunder are knotted at 2-2, the Suns have a 3-2 lead over the Blazers, and the Jazz and Spurs hold 3-1 advantages over the Nuggets and Mavericks, respectively.
