2010 NBA Finals Game 2 Preview: Can The Celtics Rebound?

Game One of the NBA Finals is in the books, and the Boston Celtics were bullied by the Los Angeles Lakers. It wasn't just that they lost, it's how they did so. Although they were keeping it within 10 points for much of the game, it was only a matter of time before Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and company would blow the game open. Suddenly, late into the third quarter, the Lakers had a 20 point lead, and now were most definitely in cruise control. 

I know, as sports fans, we tend to jump to conclusions on a one game basis, but one thing is for sure, Kevin Garnett could not handle Pau Gasol. Gasol torched Garnett with 23 points and 14 rebounds, getting to the foul line 10 times. Garnett just did not look like the same Garnett, and if he plays like that, this series will be over shortly. 

As for Kobe Bryant? I think it's clear now who is the best player in the NBA, and I'll give you a hint; it's not LeBron James. The Celtics looked as if they had no solution to Kobe, who is on a mission right now and having the best playoffs of his NBA career. It will be pretty difficult for the Celtics to try and stop him this go around.
