During the 2007-08 NBA season, the Chicago Bulls didn't have the worst record in the league but was still able to acquire the first pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.

Before the draft, the guard position for the Bulls wasn't horrible but it wasn't winning them a lot of games either.

So once the Bulls won the lottery, guards like Chris Duhon, Shanning Brown, and Larry Hughes we're all looked to be shipped out, and the Bulls did just that.

That opened up space for the Bulls to possibly surround Derrick Rose with enough talent to bring the Bulls back to the powerhouse team that they were once before.
