2010 FIFA World Cup: Steve Nash Will Cover Cup for CBS

While the NBA is caught up in the Finals and free agency, Steve Nash will be working with CBSSports.com for the 2010 World Cup .

I was first informed of this by Santiago when he noticed Nash was a trending topic on Yahoo. What's interesting about this is how Phoenix Suns fans are all sweating out the summer, waiting on news about next season's rotation.

In one sense, Steve's literally returning to his roots. Born in South Africa, his presence in the country is almost fitting. He's also returning to his roots where sports are concerned. These worldly qualities about Nash have made him an international sensation, for sure, and they've also caused some Americans to appreciate him as someone who is cultured and multi-faceted. 

Some have argued that his court vision, footwork, and leadership all come from the soccer field. All of us Phoenix fans should be proud of his connection to the game of real football.

But, and you should have known one was coming, I'm a little disappointed that Steve's able to move on so quickly from the conference finals.
