NBA Championship Odds

The Oklahoma City Thunder seem to be everyone’s Cinderella squad this year and the experts in the desert have them pegged at 16-to-1 to win the NBA Finals.  That gives the Okies a six percent prospect of bringing home a championship. 

 

Western Conference Odds

The Thunder are 2nd behind the LA Lakers in terms of who the NBA odds makers think will win the West.  If you want Oklahoma City you will receive 6-to-1 odds on them to make the Finals.  That gives them around a 15 percent probability of doing so. 

 

Strengths

Kevin Durant is as good as it gets in the NBA.  He did a great job of getting to the foul line, averaging a league leading 10 free throws per game.  When you make 90 percent from the charity stripe, that’s a strong boost to your team’s score.  He led the league in scoring, the youngest player ever to do so, but he isn't just a scorer as he can rebound and block shots too.

Durant’s weaknesses are not helping his teammates score and that he turns the ball over too frequently.  Still, ...
