Now that the Cleveland Cavaliers have clinched the best record in the NBA for the second consecutive season, there is a bit of a lull before the playoffs get underway.
What better time to consider the potential impact of LeBron James’ pending free agency this summer?
James stopped answering questions about free agency earlier this year. He has offered no concrete evidence that he will leave Cleveland, and none that he won’t.
He has, however, said that winning is the most important thing to him. But of course; he is fast accomplishing every personal goal imaginable. All that remains between him and the legacy he hopes to leave is a championship ring…or two…or three.
Will he conclude that Cleveland is the best place to do that? Or will he decide that leaving is the answer?
