Steven Adams Injury: Updates on Thunder Center’s Ankle and Return

Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams suffered a left ankle sprain during Sunday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans and would not return. However, he would not miss any additional game action.

Adams Active vs. Hawks Monday, Dec. 5 Adams was available to play Monday against Atlanta, according to Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman.

Adams Enjoying Strong Start to '16-17 Season Adams is in his fourth season in the NBA, all with the Thunder, and has seen his role continue to increase the longer he's been in the league.

Through 21 games in the 2016-17 season, Adams has recorded 10.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, both career highs. He is also adding 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks per game.

However, the season hasn't been short of knocks for the New Zealand native. In a preseason game against Real Madrid, Adams suffered a sprained ankle, though it didn't force him to miss any regular-season games.
