Ty Lawson to Remain with Kings After Missing Team Flight

The Sacramento Kings met with point guard Ty Lawson after he reportedly showed up late to a shootaround earlier in the week and missed a team flight to Kentucky, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein on Sunday.

On Monday, TMZ Sports reported that Lawson was partying with teammates Ben McLemore and Willie Cauley-Stein and boxer Adrien Broner at a Las Vegas nightclub the night before, sharing video (warning: video contains NSFW language):



Sources told Stein that Lawson "faces an uncertain future" in Sacramento, but on Monday, Lawson was taking part in the day's practice session, according to James Ham of CSN Bay Area, who added Lawson "survived for the moment and will remain part of the Kings roster."

Ham noted the Kings "had a zero-tolerance policy in place, but Lawson’s explanation of the situation has extended his stay with the team, at least for now."

Kings head coach Dave Joerger later told reporters that there was "no incident" with Lawson and that the point guard had a "personal issue."
