Thanks to a game-winning three from D'Angelo Russell that went down as time expired, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday at the Las Vegas Summer League, 70-69.
Russell led the way for the Lakers with 22 points, five assists and four rebounds. Larry Nance pitched in with 13 points, eight rebounds, seven steals, four assists and four blocks.
Philadelphia, meanwhile, was led by T.J. McConnell, who had 12 points and six assists. No. 1 pick Ben Simmons had 10 rebounds, eight assists and eight points.
The Sixers will be in action again on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET against the Chicago Bulls. The Lakers will take the floor Monday at 10:30 p.m. ET against the Golden State Warriors.
