NBA Free Agents 2016: Latest Rumors and Predictions for Top Perimeter Scorers

The rumors moved quickly in the first few hours of NBA free agency, with everyone trying to lock up their targets as soon as possible.

While no deals can officially be signed until July 7, teams were allowed to officially start talking to players at 12:01 a.m. ET on July 1. Shockingly, that is about exactly when agreements start being made around the league.

The good news is this is a deep free-agent class, so as names continue to come off the board, all you have to do is look further down the list for a quality pickup. These players might be in that second tier, but they could all still make an impact. And in this market, they won't come cheap.

 

Eric Gordon

When healthy, Eric Gordon has shown he can be a quality scorer and elite shooter from the 2-guard position. While a little undersized at 6'4", he has averaged 16.6 points per game during his eight-year career, including 22.3 per game one year with the Los Angeles Clippers.

With his 38.3 percent three-point shooting, it's clear why teams would be interested in him.
