Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James had 41 points and 11 assists in Thursday's 115-101 win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, joining Jerry West as one of just two players in league history to record 40-plus points and 10-plus assists in multiple Finals games in his career, per ESPN Stats & Info.
It was a night full of milestones for the 31-year-old superstar, who also became the first player since Shaquille O'Neal in 2000 to score 40-plus points in consecutive games within the same Finals, per Elias Sports Bureau (via ESPN Stats & Info).
James, of course, also had 41 points—with 16 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and three steals—in Monday's Game 5, which allowed his team to stave off elimination and head back to Cleveland for Game 6.
Having since extended the series with another 40-point effort, James will face the Warriors in Oakland on Sunday to determine the 2015-16 NBA champion.
