Jeff Teague Trade Rumors: Latest News, Speculation Surrounding Hawks Star

The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly discussing a trade that would send point guard Jeff Teague to the Philadelphia 76ers as part of a "package" in exchange for center Nerlens Noel, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Agreement Between Atlanta and Philadelphia "Isn't Imminent"  Thursday, June 2 Charania added the sides "have discussed the deal recently" and that Philadelphia has expressed "strong interest over the past year in acquiring a high-end starting point guard."

The Sixers are in desperate need of a quality starting floor general, so targeting Teague in the aftermath of Dennis Schroder's emergence for Atlanta throughout the postseason makes sense for new general manager Bryan Colangelo. 

That said, the move could be a risky one for a Philadelphia team that's evidently seeking to accelerate an arduous rebuilding process. 

Teague has just one year and $8 million remaining on his deal, and there would be nothing preventing him from testing unrestricted free agency next summer if he decided he didn't want to play out the remainder of his prime in Philadelph ...
