The Portland Trail Blazers are reportedly set to move quickly in their effort to sign head coach Terry Stotts to a contract extension after the reigning champion Golden State Warriors eliminated them from the playoffs Wednesday night.

Blazers Seek Long-Term Deal With Stotts

Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN.com reported the Blazers have a team option on Stotts for the 2016-17 season, but they are hopeful of coming to terms on a longer agreement.
Stotts has compiled a 182-146 (.555) record across four seasons in charge of the Blazers. The team has qualified for the postseason in each of the past three seasons and advanced to the conference semifinals twice during that span.
Although Portland's record this season (44-38) wasn't the best of his tenure, it was the most impressive coaching job of the 58-year-old former forward's career.
