John Wall Injury: Updates on Wizards Star’s Knee and Return

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is dealing a knee injury that will force him out of game action for the first time this season.

Wall Out vs. Nets Wednesday, April 6 Wall played 32 minutes during Washington's 114-109 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, but the Wizards announced on Twitter he will miss Wednesday's contest against the Brooklyn Nets because of a sore right knee. 

For the season, Wall is averaging 19.9 points, 10.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the floor. 

Wall remains one of the league's most important players given his wide-ranging role leading the Wizards at both ends of the floor. It's exactly what the Wizards were hoping for when they drafted him first overall in 2010, but he still needs an upgraded supporting cast.
