The Boston Celtics are gearing up for the postseason, but guard Evan Turner suffered an eye injury during Sunday’s victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Turner's Eye Being Evaluated Sunday, April 3 Turner played 36 minutes in Boston’s 107-100 win, but head coach Brad Stevens said the guard had bleeding “in his eye,” per Jay King of MassLive.com. The Celtics announced that someone poked the Ohio State Buckeyes product in the eye, and Turner was under evaluation to determine the extent of the injury.

Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald noted after the game that "Turner's left eye is red and swollen shut."

Turner underscored how valuable he can be for Boston with 17 points, four assists and four rebounds during the win over the Lakers. Coming into Sunday's contest, he was averaging 10.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game behind 45.4 percent shooting from the field.
