Mario Chalmers Injury: Updates on Grizzlies Star’s Foot and Return

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mario Chalmers suffered a right foot injury Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics.

Chalmers Ruled Out for Remainder of Game Wednesday, March 9  The Vertical's Chris Mannix relayed the update and reported that he heard Chalmers tell trainers, "I heard it pop." He'll have an MRI on his foot Thursday, according to Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN.com. Mannix noted Chalmers was wheeled out of the arena in a wheelchair. 

Injury-Plagued Chalmers Crucial to Banged-Up Grizzlies  Miami traded Chalmers to Memphis after he took on a smaller role for the Heat this season. With the team bringing back Goran Dragic as the starting point guard and adding some other depth, there weren't many minutes available for the Kansas product. He's a better fit off the bench for the Grizzlies.
