Jimmer Fredette Reportedly Won’t be Re-Signed by New York Knicks

Jimmer Fredette's stint with the New York Knicks will be brief, according to multiple reports Wednesday.

Recently signed to a 10-day contract thanks to a strong showing for the Knicks' Developmental League affiliate in Westchester, Fredette won't be extended, per the New York Post's Marc Berman.

ESPN.com's Ian Begley confirmed New York won't re-sign the 27-year-old guard.

Fredette played only five minutes in two games and is expected to be relegated to the D-League once again. The 10th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft and former BYU star continues to struggle finding his place in the Association. 

The most memorable moment of Fredette's short time in the Big Apple came when he put up a garbage-time three-pointer just before the buzzer in a 104-85 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.



Blazers big man Meyers Leonard fouled Fredette hard, but that desperation heave doesn't look as bad in retrospect. All he was trying to do was make the most of the minimal minutes New York interim coach Kurt Rambis offered.
