Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry was playing in his fifth road game in seven days, but he managed to lead his team to a 130-114 victory over the Orlando Magic with 51 points, eight assists and seven rebounds Thursday at the Amway Center.
It was the third time Curry, who was three off his career high, has topped 50 points this season, per GSWStats:
Curry not only led the way on 20-of-27 shooting, but he also set an NBA record in the first quarter by knocking down a three-pointer in his 128th straight game:
Last year's NBA MVP decided that wasn't enough, as his fourth three-pointer of the night gave him the top three seasons in terms of three-pointers made in league history, per ESPN Stats & Info:
Although he hit 10 from downtown Thursday, he also took it to the rim early against the Magic:
But in typical fashion, just to be sure no one forgot three-point shooting is his forte, Curry nailed this half-court heave to end the third quarter with 24 points and push his total to 46:
