Rivers Optimistic About Paul Injury

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said Paul will be "OK" after leaving the game with a bruised thigh Saturday, per Dan Woike of the Orange County Register.
Paul, 30, continues to be one of the league's best point guards. He leads the team in assists per game (9.4) and is first in points per game (19.5) while quarterbacking a talented Clippers offense.
Injuries have become a concern for the veteran point guard, however. While he played in all 82 games during the 2014-15 season, he missed a combined 32 games in the two seasons before that.
While the team will be in good hands without him—DeAndre Jordan, J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford, among others, are capable of stepping up in Paul's stead—the Clippers are a better team with Paul in the lineup.
