The Utah Jazz are clinging to the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoff race, and they may look to shake up the roster for the stretch run by trading guard Trey Burke.

Jazz Reportedly Shopping Burke Monday, Feb. 15 “The Utah Jazz have had multiple discussions with teams about a trade involving guard Trey Burke ahead of Thursday's [3 p.m. ET] NBA trade deadline,” Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reported Monday, citing league sources.

Burke was seen as the point guard of the future in Utah when the Jazz used the No. 9 overall pick on him in the 2013 draft. He was the John R. Wooden Award winner the prior season at Michigan and was a facilitator who could also score.

However, he hasn’t quite lived up to those elevated expectations, and Jones put his recent performance into perspective:

Burke's role has dwindled this season. He averaged 31 minutes per game in his first two seasons, but is playing just 23 minutes per game this season. He is averaging 11.8 ppg.
