Devin Harris Injury: Updates on Mavericks PG’s Hamstring and Return

Dallas Mavericks point guard Devin Harris played six minutes against the Indiana Pacers Wednesday, but he was forced to leave because of a right hamstring injury.

Harris Ruled Out for Remainder of Game Wednesday, Dec. 16 Harris came off the bench in the first half but suffered the injury. Mavericks television broadcaster Mark Followill confirmed the point guard would miss the remainder of the contest.

Rotoworld weighed in on the setback: “He had a lingering right hamstring issue back in 2011-12 and a left hamstring issue after that, so it's been a while since Harris had this issue. Still, he just can't stay healthy and will probably miss time. More minutes will go to Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea.”

Harris is averaging 7.8 points and 1.9 assists a night, but the timing is unfortunate for Dallas. He scored in double figures in each of the previous two games and even racked up six steals against the Phoenix Suns in Monday’s outing.
