Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol each scored 20 points apiece and the Chicago Bulls routed the New Orleans Pelicans, 107-72, at the Smoothie King Center Saturday night, snapping a three-game losing streak.

The Pelicans, whose 72 points were a season low, played the second half without Anthony Davis, who took a hard fall after an alley-oop dunk in the second quarter and suffered a right shoulder contusion.

The Bulls got off to a very cold start in this contest, scoring only 18 points in the first period. However, they proceeded to drop 30 in the second and took a 48-39 lead into halftime.

Chicago continued to pour it on offensively in the second half, out-scoring New Orleans 59-33.

Tony Snell was huge off the bench, burying five three-pointers and scoring 19 points.

The Bulls ended up shooting 51 percent and knocked down 10 of their 22 attempts from long range. Conversely, the Pelicans shot only 37 percent from the floor and did not make a field goal outside the paint until the third quarter.

Only two New Orleans players scored in double figures, with Tyreke Evans leading the way with 15.
