Needing to find more depth and production at both guard positions after losing Isaiah Thomas earlier this summer, the Sacramento Kings have reportedly agreed to a deal with free agent Ramon Sessions.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Sessions' agreement with the Kings is for two years and $4.2 million:
The 28-year-old Sessions was rumored to be a target of the Houston Rockets, who also needed additional guard help after trading Jeremy Lin to Los Angeles. Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders reported the Rockets were exploring a sign-and-trade with Milwaukee in August:
However, that deal fell apart leaving Sessions in a lurch until finding a deal with the Kings. Even though the Kings are still trying to build a winning culture, the veteran guard is in a good spot to maximize his talents and get playing time, according to Sam Amick of USA Today:
