The NHL offseason started to get wild on July 1 when the free-agency signing period officially began.
Even after an exuberant amount of money was doled out to unrestricted free agents, there's still plenty of talent on the market for teams looking to acquire decent starters, rotational pieces or quality depth.
As the signings continue, rest assured there will still be a bevy of rumors floating around the Web. Here's a look at some recent gossip surrounding some notable NHL names.
Blues No Longer Interested in Ott
At 31 years of age, Steve Ott may not be the quality player he once was, but he still has plenty to offer—perhaps just not on a top line.
Last season, Ott saw his lowest rating of his career with a plus/minus of minus-26 over 59 games with the Buffalo Sabres. During that span, he scored nine goals and recorded 11 assists. However, he still proved to be useful on special teams, with six goals and two assists on the power play.
