NBA Advisory/Finance Committee Meets to Review Status of Clippers Ownership

While Donald Sterling is busy making a fool of himself on national television, the league continues its lurch toward stripping Sterling of his ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Association's Advisory/Finance Committee met via teleconference on Tuesday to further discuss Sterling's ouster and address a number of other concerns regarding the welfare of the Clippers franchise. Mike Bass, an official spokesman for the league, released the following statement on the matter (via ESPNLosAngeles.com's Arash Markazi):



This marked the third time the Advisory/Finance Committee had convened in some form since Sterling's racist comments to former assistant V. Stiviano were first leaked to Deadspin and TMZ. Commissioner Adam Silver has already banned Sterling from NBA activities for life and fined him $2.5 million, but the league's 29 other owners have yet to vote to strip the disgraced real estate mogul of his franchise ownership.
