Report: Chicago Bulls Interested in Devin Harris During 2014 Offseason

Devin Harris proved this season that he still has some value as a backup point guard. Apparently, the Chicago Bulls noticed.

After leading the Dallas Mavericks in assist percentage at 31, Harris will be an unrestricted free agent. According to CSN Chicago's Aggrey Sam, "...Harris has been connected to the Bulls, according to a league source..."

The pairing makes sense on paper, as Chicago's star point guard, Derrick Rose, was injured yet again this season and appeared in just 10 games. Sam said:

...after two season-ending injuries in the last three years, the organization understands that they have to brace themselves for the possibility of unexpected misfortune or even just lightening Rose’s burden.

D.J. Augustin and Kirk Hinrich were the ones who took over after "unexpected misfortune" in 2013. Harris compares favorably to both:
