San Antonio Spurs Beat Pelicans to Tie Franchise-High 17-Game Winning Streak

I'm sure the San Antonio Spurs remember their excruciatingly close Game 6 loss to the Miami Heat in the 2013 NBA Finals, but it must be getting hard for them to remember their last regular-season loss.

Maybe it was that tough loss to the Heat that has fueled the Spurs this season. It would have to be something big, because they are absolutely on fire right now:



During their 17-game win streak, the Spurs have nine players (yes, nine) averaging between 8.2 and 14.6 points. They also have eight players averaging at least two assists. Talk about balance. 

The team effort has led to statistical dominance for the Spurs since the streak started on Feb. 26:



San Antonio will have a chance to top the franchise record on Monday against the Indiana Pacers:



They won't get much of a break after that, as they face three more teams currently in the playoff picture—the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies.
