It probably has been a little too long since the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a major injury. Xavier Henry became the next guy added to the team's walking wounded.
The Lakers officially announced Henry's injury:
Mike Trudell of Lakers.com first reported the news, which is not great news for a team that's already had players miss a combined 249 games with injury:
Earlier in the week, head coach Mike D'Antoni spoke about how much Henry had been playing through pain for the past few games, per ESPNLosAngeles.com's Dave McMenamin:
"Xavier is battling through a lot of stuff," Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni said after the game. "He could call it quits. He has a little bit of a problem here and there [with his knee], but he's playing with some pain and he wants to play and it's up to him. You got to [respect him]. It's good for him. He's trying to do it and he looked good tonight. Hopefully he can manage his pain and play the rest of the season and keep getting better."
