Jaromir Jagr, who scored a goal for the Czech Republic in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to Sweden in his team's Olympic hockey opener, will set his sights on becoming the seventh player in NHL history to score 700 goals when he returns to action for the New Jersey Devils on Feb. 27 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Currently participating in his fifth Olympic games, the winger—who turns 42 on Feb. 15—has enjoyed a productive season with New Jersey to date, recording 17 goals and a team-high 49 points in 59 games to go along with a stellar plus-21 rating.

With 1,039 career assists, Jagr, who broke into the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1990-91 season, is also on track to overtake Marcel Dionne, who is currently ninth overall on the league's all-time assist leader board with 1,040 helpers in 1,348 games. Meanwhile, hockey legend Gordie Howe is eighth in said category, with 1,049 assists in 1,767 games.
