Mike Brown Can’t Pronounce ‘Omer Asik,’ Therefore Cavs Won’t Trade for Him

Houston Rockets center Omer Asik continues to headline trade rumors around the NBA, but Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown insists the Cavs won't trade for him "If I can't pronounce his name."

Cleveland admittedly didn't seem like a probable landing spot for the Turkish big man considering that the Cavaliers already have Andrew Bynum, Anderson Varejao, Tristan Thompson and No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett clogging the frontcourt.

Nevertheless, Brown's tongue-in-cheek statement shows that he still has a sense of humor amidst a vastly disappointing 9-15 start to the 2013-14 season.

According to Bleacher Report's Jared Zwerling, Cavs shooting guard Dion Waiters wants out of Cleveland and would prefer to land with the Philadelphia 76ers. So while the Cavaliers probably won't deal for Asik, it would be surprising if they don't swing some type of deal moving forward.
