Gregg Popovich Will Not Stand for Kevin McHale Walking in Front of Tim Duncan

There was a moment during Saturday night’s game between the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets when something happened.

It was shortly before the half. San Antonio had been down by as much as 23 points. Kevin McHale may have thought he was being cute by cutting in front of Tim Duncan right before a sidelines inbounds pass. It sure lit a fire under the Spurs’ Gregg Popovich, however.



Pop chewed out the ref, drawing the T. When he came back out after the half, he was still all fired up.



Did it have an effect? The Spurs had taken the lead by the end of the third quarter—draw your own conclusions.

The Rockets wound up winning 112-106 but still—it was classic Coach Pop.
