Tyler Seguin's world was thrown for a loop on the Fourth of July.

Instead of enjoying an Independence Day celebration in his adopted hometown of Boston, the young star got the shock of his life when the Bruins traded him to the Dallas Stars.

Seguin was the No. 2 pick in the 2010 draft and appeared to be the team-oriented Bruins' superstar of the future.

However, Seguin had endured an ordinary 2013 season after leading the Bruins in scoring the year before. Then he went though a dreadful postseason in which he scored just one goal. His many near-misses—especially in the Stanley Cup Final against Chicago—played a big role in Boston falling short of winning its second Stanley Cup in three years.

Seguin had to make a big adjustment and go from a Stanley Cup contender to a rebuilding franchise.

He took a deep breath and started working hard, as he has gotten off to a sharp start with 12 goals and 10 assists in his first 19 games in Dallas.

Seguin had a remarkable four-goal game on Nov. 14 against the Calgary Flames. Read on to see where that performance ranked in the NHL's best goals of the week.
