Tampa Bay Lightning superstar center Steven Stamkos suffered a scary leg injury during the team's Monday afternoon game against the Boston Bruins. He crashed into the post and wasn't able to skate off the ice.
Joe Haggerty of Comcast SportsNet New England reports Stamkos' leg took most of the force as he slid on the ice and crashed directly into the post next to Lightning goalie Anders Lindback:
Steve Stamkos crashed hard into the post & his leg took brunt of the impact. He's down on the ice in a lot of pain. Uh-oh

The Lightning later confirmed that Stamkos suffered a broken tibia on the team's official Twitter account:
