The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the New York Knicks, 102-97, on Tuesday night, improving to 2-2 on the season while the Knicks fell to 1-3.
It was the third-straight loss for Mike Woodson's bunch, and they struggled to find consistent sources of offense for the fourth-straight game.
Carmelo Anthony led all scorers with 32 points on 10-of-28 shooting, but he was hardly efficient and couldn't shoulder the scoring burden all by himself. Raymond Felton and Iman Shumpert both added 14 points while Metta World Peace contributed 18 off of the bench.
New York shot 42.7 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three in the loss.
The real story, though, was the play of Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker. Leading all Bobcats scorers with 25 points on 9-of-20 shooting, Walker controlled the offense all night long, whether it was setting up teammates (six assists), scoring from the outside or slicing through the Knicks' weak interior defense.
