John Scott Suspended Indefinitely by NHL After Hit on Loui Eriksson

Buffalo Sabres left wing John Scott has been suspended indefinitely by the NHL for his hit on Boston Bruins forward Loui Eriksson Wednesday night, according to the Canadian Press via the league’s official website.

The incident took place during the third period of Boston's 5-2 win over Buffalo when Scott targeted Eriksson’s head on a blindside hit and followed through with malicious intent, as seen by Scott’s arm extending after contact with Eriksson.



The veteran enforcer was given a match penalty for charging and ejected from the game. His disciplinary hearing has been set for October 31st.
