3 Draft Day Trades Brooklyn Nets Could Pull Off

The Brooklyn Nets currently own just one pick in the 2013 NBA draft, but that could all change on Thursday if the team decides to pull off a draft-day trade.

According to Chad Ford and Mark Stein of ESPN.com, there have been rumblings that the Nets are interested in trading MarShon Brooks in exchange for an additional first-rounder.

The Nets also have $3 million at their disposal, which general manager Billy King could use to purchase a second-round pick. He could also choose to use assets like Kris Humphries’ expiring contract, Brooks’ rookie-scale deal, cash or a combination of the three to trade up or to acquire more picks.

Or King, notorious for making draft-night deals (he’s made eight in twelve seasons as an NBA general manager), could trade the No. 22 pick and move out of the first-round altogether.
