Game 2 between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Ottawa Senators is over, and Sidney Crosby is the clear-cut first star after scoring a hat trick.
Evgeni Malkin also extended his point streak to eight games. After Sid was held pointless in the first game, he posted three goals tonight, and the Penguins were flying all game long. They forced the Senators to take multiple penalties and put a lot of pressure on both of Ottawa's goalies.
Craig Anderson ended up on the bench after a few minutes of play in the second period, chased by a relentless Crosby. Robin Lehner stood tall, but the Sens couldn't find enough offense to force this game to overtime.
Pittsburgh dominated in the shots category, racking up a whopping 42. The Pens now take a 2-0 series lead to Ottawa.
