Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers will be looking to continue their surprising success in solving the Memphis Grizzlies’ top-notch defense as the two clubs clash in the first game of what’s sure to be a brutally contentious first-round series.

L.A. posted a 3-1 record against Memphis this year, thanks in large part to its offensive production against the notoriously stingy Grizzlies. Though the Clippers’ offensive rating of 106 points per 100 possessions in their four tilts against Memphis this season was more than a full point below their overall figure, it was still a remarkable output.

Only three other teams scored more efficiently against the Grizzlies this past season.

Memphis will sic Mike Conley on Paul in an effort to frustrate the floor general’s orchestration of the Clips’ offense. This’ll be a key matchup, as the Clips depend almost entirely on CP3 to generate scoring chances.
