The season is in the home stretch, and the New York Rangers are trying to secure a playoff spot.

They didn't do themselves any favor against their rivals, as they lost a 4-2 decision to the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Flyers played with every bit of energy they had. They were spent in the third period after enduring back-to-back games, but goalie Steve Mason allowed them to hang in there and come out with the victory.

The Rangers were unable to beat a team they had defeated in 10 of their last 11 meetings.
