Apparently, the normal laws of aging simply don't apply to Jaromir Jagr.
41-year-old players with 1,378 games under their belt who started their career when Home Alone was still in theaters aren't supposed to still be playing. They aren't supposed to be gracefully smashing in gorgeous game-winners:
They aren't supposed to be setting records (via ESPN Stats & Info):
They aren't supposed to still be hitting historic milestones (via the Dallas Stars' official Twitter account):
But in his 19th season, Jagr is doing all of those things and more. He has established himself as the Stars' most productive player, racking up 14 goals and 12 assists in just 32 games.
As such, he is creating quite the compelling situation as we approach the trade deadline.
With every subsequent goal and assists, the future Hall of Famer, who is supposed to be in his twilight years, becomes more of a wanted man.
In a good way.
