Shane Battier dunked a basketball, something he hasn't done in four years.
Normally an NBA player slamming a basketball wouldn't warrant a post, but this was special because it meant something.
It was for all the suburban dads out there.
Larry Brown Sports spotted what may be one of the more rare sights in the NBA—Battier going hard to the bucket and then throwing it down.
The play came with a little over 11 minutes to go in the second quarter of the Heat's eventual 99-94 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats, when Dwyane Wade found a cutting Battier for his first dunk in four years.
Yeah, I didn't even know we were keeping track of this stuff.
Well, a good story becomes a great one with a hilarious quote from the Heat's vet, via a tweet from The Palm Beach Post's Ethan J. Skolnick.
Battier on the dunk: "That one is for all the suburban Dads out there. I might release a DVD of that."
