Gloria James Takes Plea Deal Stemming from Attack on Valet

Gloria James can now put a messy situation behind her, as she has agreed to a plea deal in the charges stemming from her incident last year at the Fontainebleau hotel. 

TMZ reports Gloria James, mother of Miami Heat superstar LeBron James, struck a plea deal with prosecutors and will not have to serve any jail time regarding her altercation with a Miami Beach hotel valet. 

James will need to serve 20 hours of community service and donate $1,000 to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. She will also need to stay clear of the valet she slapped, Rockfeller Sorel. 

In early April of 2011, James engaged Sorel, a valet working at the Fontainebleau hotel. Video footage of the incident shows a visibly irate James, who slaps Sorel and later falls to the ground.

James managed to have the public intoxication charges dropped. Sorel personally agreed to the plea deal and managed to get a donation to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund worked into the deal. Sorel himself is Haitian.
