Paul Holmgren: Looking for "One Significant Piece" before Trade Deadline

In my article last week, I wrote about how the Philadelphia Flyers were interested in acquiring New Jersey Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner. I wrote that even though the Flyers lost out on Langenbrunner, it further proves that GM Paul Holmgren is in the market for another forward. Frank Seravalli from the Daily News thinks so too.

According to Frank's latest article, and a report on AOL Fan House earlier in the week,  Holmgren was quoted as saying he his looking for "one significant piece" to add to the Flyers before the February 28 trade deadline. 

The Flyers acquired three defensemen in the offseason in order to give them greater depth at D, and also to reduce the minutes of other top defensemen like Chris Pronger and Kimmo Timonen. Prongs and Kimmo were averaging 28-29 minutes a game in the playoffs and were very tired and banged up by the time the finals rolled around. With the additions of Andrej Meszaros, Sean O'Donnell and Matt Walker, the Flyers made sure they would not face those problems again.
